Antique Staffordshire Recumbent Lion Pair

Victorian Staffordshire Recumbent Mantle Lions Pair for your consideration. Each lion measures approx. 10 inches tall, 11 inches long and 5 1/2 inches deep. Both lions are laying down with crossed front paws. Rare gray color with amber glass eyes. Kiln-firing holes to the back of the heads and on the bases of each. Very good antique condition. Shows wear commensurate with age. Minor glaze flake to one of the lion’s manes. The same lion has an eye that has been replaced at some point and is a bit darker in color. The other lion appears to have had a minor restoration to the mouth. Condition issues are not very noticeable except under closer examination. See photos. Displays handsomely, Scarce!
