Pair of Antique Parian Grapevine Ewers for your consideration. Larger sized; Each ewer measures approx. 13 3/4 inches tall and approx. 4 1/2 inches in diameter. English or American, 19th Century. Attributed to Fenton’s Works, Bennington, Vermont; later known as United States Pottery Company. Unglazed, white bisque porcelain. Finely detailed three-dimensional grape clusters, tendrils and leaves are in contrast to the ribbed body. Braided grapevine handles with flower petaled spouts. Ewers rest on ornate footed pedestals. Handwritten mark on base of each, “23/203”. Very good antique condition. Shows wear commensurate with age. A few areas of broken and missing grapevine. Not noticeable except under close examination. Minor soiling throughout. See photos. Displays phenomenal!
