Oval portrait measures approx. 2 inches X 2 1/2 inches. Portrait painting depicts beautiful young lady wearing blue dress with white lace. She has lovely brown eyes and pearl adorned wavy brown hair. She has a playful expression with a partial, closed-lip smile. Signed by artist, appears to read, “Mercie”. There is also old illegible handwriting on the back. Original black painted wood frame with decorative brass insert. Portrait painting under glass. Metal loop for hanging on wall. Excellent antique condition. Shows minor wear commensurate with age.
