Antique Majolica Crane Pitcher

Antique Majolica Crane Pitcher for your consideration. The pitcher measures approx. 7 inches tall and approx. 5 1/2 inches from spout to handle. Likely English, second half 19th Century. Raised majolica decorated pond scene of lily-pads and cattails with wading bird (crane or heron) on each side. Flower-button patterned border at top and bottom of pitcher. Woody-vine formed handle. Overall, good antique condition. Shows wear commensurate with age and use. Two metal inserts that look to have held a lid at some point. Tight cracks towards the spout that extends three quarters of the way down the pitcher. Further condition issues include but are not limited to crazing, soiling, glaze flakes and shallow chipping, etc… See photos. Displays Shabby Chic!
