Antique Indian Nandi Bull Figure for your consideration. The item measures approx. 9 3/4 inches tall, 13 inches long and 5 1/2 inches wide. India, late 19th Century to first half of the 20th Century. Folk art; hand carved and hand painted. Polychrome horned bovine figure on boat-like base. Likely purposed as either Hindu temple deity Nandi figure for Shiva or pull-toy for children. Possibly had wheels at some point or simply intended to be pulled on water. Metal loop at front. Very good antique condition. Shows wear commensurate with age and use. See photos.
