Description
Pair of antique cathedral pickle jars for your consideration. The largest measures approx. 8 3/4 inches tall and 2 3/8 inches X 2 3/8 inches. Aqua in color. Embossed “K” mark on base. Small flea bite to rim.
The second jar measures approx. 6 1/2 inches tall, 2 1/4 inches wide and 2 inches deep. Maganese sun colored amethyst in color. Original partial label. What is legible reads, “PICKLE” “SQUIRE” “CHICAGO ILL”.
Both bottles are blown in mold (BIM) and date to the second half of the 19th Century. Overall, nice antique condition. The jars show wear commensurate with age and use. Manufacturing flaws and imperfections throughout. Crude bubbling and tooling. Light oxidation and dirt. See photos. These jars display splendid and would make a great addition to any antique bottle collection.
