Rare & Original Antique Adamphruwa Gold Dust Box for your consideration. The box measures approx. 3 1/4 inches long, 1 3/8 inches wide and 5/8 of an inch tall. African, Ghana, second half 19th Century. Akan; Asanti/Asante. Adamphruwa, gold dust box. Brass, copper alloy, oval, hand crafted, triangular dot pattern on lid and tri-dot linear pattern along the sides. Riveted construction. Handwritten tag inside box reads, “19C GOLD DUST BOX. ASHANTI. GHANA”. Very good antique condition. Shows wear commensurate with age and use. Natural aged patina. See photos. Displays interesting!
