After Francois George (1807-1873) French Bronzed White Metal Musketeer Caricature Figural Candlesticks for your consideration. The candlesticks measure approx. 4 3/4 inches in diameter. One measures approx. 8 inches tall and the other approx. 7 inches. The candle insert measures approx. 1 inch in diameter. The candlesticks date from the mid-19th Century. Comical caricatures in a sword fight. One character has a large mustache with determined expression while the other has a goofy grin and tongue hanging out. Signed on base of each, “F’cois George”. Shabby Chic condition. Tip of sword broken on each. Tip of hat on mustache man is chipped. Both figures are a bit loose from base, but secure. White specks throughout. See photos. Displays fanciful! Scarce!
