Aesthetic Movement Vesta Match Safe Cigar Cutter for your consideration. The vesta measures approx. 3 5/8 inches long, 1 1/4 inches wide and 1/2 of an inch thick. Continental; Second half 19th Century. Repousse’, silver plated; Wading bird, frog on lily pad and songbird perched on tree limb overhead in pond-like setting. Same wildlife scene on both sides. One side in small, impressed mark reads, “PAT. APRIL 4 ’82”. Functional hinged door for storing matches. Latch and push button cigar cutter is functional but appears to be missing cutting blade. Very good antique condition. Shows minor wear commensurate with age and use. See photos. Displays handsomely!
